2008: De Anza’s College Enviromental Advisory Group recieves “2008 Innovation of the Year” Award from the League for Innovation in the Community College. CEAG created a Sustainability Management Plan, which is one of the first documents of its’ kind to be produced by any community college in the nation.
2005: De Anza College opens the Kirsch Center for Environmental Studies, which is the lead demonstration building for energy innovation and sustainability for California community colleges. A result of 17 years of planning, the Kirsch Center is the first LEED platinum rated community college building in the nation.
