Tuesday November 28, 2006, four black males were hancuffed after their vehicle was searched by Foothill/De Anza Campus Police and the Santa Clara County Sheriff at around 12:30pm. Three of them were let go and one was left, but later released. No arrests were made. I went down to the Police booth on campus to gather some information but I was directed towards the Sheriff’s office even though the campus police said that there were no arrests made on campus at all yesterday. I also contacted the Sheriff’s office and was told the first time that there were no arrests made on campus on Tuesday, and that she wouldnt be able to tell me details since I dont know the deputies names’ that were involved in the incident. I later looked at the pictures Robert took and saw some numbers that could have been the unit number, which probably wouldve opened more doors to more details on what happened, but then I was later told that I had no right to know any of the information becaus I wasn’t a victim or because I wasn’t interviewed by any officers.
