ICC Chair Sarah Joy Callahan resigned her position as of Tuesday, Nov. 8, Inter Club Council Advisor La Donna Yumori-Kaku wrote in an e-mail, sent Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 4:10 p.m.
Yumori-Kaku said she didn’t know why Callahan resigned. Student Activities Administrative Assistant Dennis Shannakian also said he did not know why she resigned. ICC Chair of Programs Hala Hyatt said she was officially told that Callahan resigned because of "family reasons."
According to Yumori-Kaku, a new chair will be sworn in the same day as an election, which will take place during the Nov. 23. ICC meeting.
She wrote that applications are due by 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16 and names will be announced during the ICC meeting later that day. She also wrote that an informational meeting will be held Monday, Nov. 14 from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. in the Student Activities Conference Room.
The new chair’s term of office will begin Nov. 24 and end March 8, 2006, she wrote.
