Robert Dawson
Photographer Robert Dawson has received a Visual Artist Fellowship from the National Endowment of the Arts, a Ruttenberg fellowship from The Friends of Photography, a Dorothea Lange-Paul Taylor Prize from the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University and other major awards. His books include “Farewell, Promied Land: Walking from the California Dream,” “Robert Dawson Photographs” and “The Great Central Valley: California’s Heartland.”
Gray Brechin
Geographer / historian is the author of “Imperial San Francisco: Urban Power, Earthly Ruin and with Robert Dawson, “Farewell, Promised Land: Waking From the California Dream.” A cofounder of the Mono Lake Committee, Brechin worked in the 1980s as an architectural historian, journalist, lecturer and television producer in San Francisco, specializing in urban design criticism and environmental issues.
