The highly anticipated sequel, “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” premiered in theaters nationwide on Friday, May 2.

The movie stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane Dehaan and Sally Field.

Spider-Man (Garfield), faces off with two villains, Electro (Foxx), and Green Goblin (Dehaan), all while trying to maintain a relationship with love interest, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and keep his identity hidden from his Aunt May (Field).

The movie starts out with a flashback sequence, but I wont spoil what happened in the scene.

Throughout the majority of the film, Peter struggles with the promise that he made to Gwen’s father at the end of the first film.

This raises tension between Peter and Gwen.

There are a lot of well-placed, light-hearted and humorous moments laced in with the intensity of everything, as well as sweet, romantic moments.

There are twists and turns and you will be on the edge of your seat just waiting to see what’s going to happen next.

It’s everything you could want in a superhero movie and more.

It is definitely action-packed and will send you on an emotional roller coaster.

The special effects and overall cinematography are incredible.

I highly recommend splurging a little and watching it in 3D, trust me, it makes a difference.

One last piece of advice, bring tissues.
