Burning man is one of the most adventures and exiting events that takes place in the summer, though it is impossible to explain all of the festivities. To sum it up Burning Man is always held one week before and during Labor Day. This year it takes place on Monday, August 27th to Monday, September 3rd. The Man burns the day before Labor Day.To get into Burning Man, students must buy tickets to join the fun. The tickets may be rather expensive, costing two hundred and eighty dollars, but there are discounts for students. They cost one hundred and forty five dollars, and are available from January 25, 2007 to June 12, 2007or while supplies last.Burning man is located in Black Rock City, which comes and goes with the wind, literally. Black Rock city is only made up of cars, RV’s, different size tents and other man made structures. So this city only is around 8 days and then disappears with out a trace as the vehicles drive away. Its located 120 miles north of Reno, Nevada, and is 5 miles long making a horse she shape. The art structures making up the festival go as far as seven to eight miles out in to the desert. The man stands in the middle of the horse shoe.Burning Man has all different types of art including cars, people, tents, and structures. The Man itself is a piece of art as people can walk through the structure below. The man stands around forty feet tall.Warning to all first timers though, Burning man takes place in the middle of the dessert so water and food is needed. Cloths are needed for night fall because it gets really cold. Of course you have to bring some type of food. The Burning Man website gives information on what and what not to bring. The burning Man website can tell students what they need to bring. For more information and how to get there students can go to http://www.burningman.com/ and check out The First Timers Guide. For lower costing tickets if students are low on money go to http://www.tickets.burningman.com/#lowincome
