DA Voices” is a recurring feature used to spotlight De Anza College’s diverse community voices. We ask the same question to different people and arrange their quotes so that readers can see varying points of view. This time, La Voz reporters Katherine Fritz and Hayden Rush asked, “What is the favorite gift you received over the holidays?”

Jason Faria, 20, computer science major, said his favorite gift was a new office chair.
“It is a mesh chair and the bottom is cushion,” Faria said.

Kyisinwin Phant, 18, computer science major, said he got a brand new car over break.
“It is a Toyota Corolla. White, 2020,” Phant said.

Thomas Delgabo, 20, automotive engineering major, said someone gave him some new clothes for Christmas.
“I got two new pants that were like slacks,” Delgabo said.

Giana Dolor, 19, biology major, said a Polaroid camera she wanted for quite some time was her favorite holiday present.
“My mom got me the camera,” Dolor said. “It is the most recent one from Fuji.”

Arlen Keck, 18, undecided major, said he got a tattoo for the holidays as a present from his mom.
“I got a tattoo from a mean old Russian guy,” Keck said.

Alexis Garcia, 26, computer science major, said he got a multi-colored pen over the holidays.
“It’s a very simple but thoughtful gift,” Garcia said. “It makes it easier for me to study this way.”
