On every Memorial Day weekend the San Jose McEnery Convention Center hosts FanimeCon, a showcase of Japanese media and pop culture for Bay Area locals and attendees from around the world.
The convention holds exhibits in the Artist Alley and Dealer’s Room and arcade games in the Gaming Hall.
Notable events at the convention include panels and autograph signings with guests of honor. There was also a cosplay contest called “The Masquerade” held in the San Jose Civic Center Auditorium and performances from the group Fanimaid Café and other idol groups at Stage Zero.
