The De Anza Concert Band and Choir highlighted the creativity and talent of student vocalists across campus at its spring concert on June 13 in the Visual and Performing Arts Center.
The concert featured a range of performances. Instrumental ensembles, vocal groups and solo acts showcased individual skill and collaborative effort, covering songs from “The Lion King,” “Les Miserables” and classic jazz musicians.
Key moments from the event include rehearsals, a performance from a cappella jazz group Vocal Flight, medleys and students sharing personal connections to the musicals they selected from.
With Choir Director Cyril Deaconoff at the forefront, he led the final choir performance of the school year, celebrating student farewells and end-of-year joy.
