Beginning with its improved opening, the highly anticipated HBO series “Game of Thrones” premiered its first episode of the eighth season, sending chills down the spines of millions of fans.

After two years since its last air date, the series returned on April 14 with its final season.

The episode was filled with tension as notable characters experienced overdue re-encounters that thrilled devoted audiences.

Viewers anticipated the emotional scenes between the newly developed relationship of the dragon queen Daenerys Targaryen, played by Emilia Clarke, and former king of the north Jon Snow, played by Kit Harington.

Targaryen and Snow’s first task was to unite the north in order to defeat the Night King and his army of the dead. The king broke through the frozen wall that stood between them and a war ensued as a result.

The previous seven seasons and remaining episodes will bring audiences scenes filled with eye-catching themes of power, violence, love, deception and betrayal.

This tension-filled medieval drama is strongly recommended to those who enjoy indulging themselves in a captivating story in a battle for the Iron Throne.

The premiere did an impressive job in stressing that titles of royalty between the numerous houses were no longer significant. Survivability is solely based on the defeat of the Night King.

The built up suspense for the upcoming events of war will undoubtedly leave viewers feeling nervous for the next episode. The series remaining show times will be significantly longer than usual considering that the show is coming to its conclusion.

Winter has arrived, and with it brings an amazing conclusion to its season premiere. Audiences are glued to their seats with what will come next.
