Students showcased their skills with varying degrees in a painting event held by The Artistic Expression Village from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Feb. 24 in room L-21. Snacks were offered during the event.
With Ross’s videos playing in the background of the paint session, students and the village lead, Julie Hughes, transformed their canvases over the next hour.
Despite the hangout’s theme, students were free to paint whatever they wanted. The soup provided was instant noodles, from the standard Nissin cup noodles to a cheese-flavored one.
The canvases ranged from beautiful landscapes with a variety of colors to portraits of fellow students or fictional characters.
The hangout ended without a hitch as students were able to finish or nearly complete their canvases within an hour. For those who didn’t finish, there will be a crafts event on March 3, which will last the entire day.
