On June 9, 10 and 14, 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., an open forum will take place in the Hinson Campus Center, conference room B, to decide who will take the position of Foothill-De Anza District’s Vice Chancellor of Business Services.
All members of the Foothill-De Anza community are invited to attend the event. Finalists will field questions from the audience.
The vice chancellor of Business reports to the chancellor; provides vision and leadership for the development and implementation of business and fiscal services necessary to support the mission of the district; and develops, coordinates, and implements complex business policy and procedures; makes business related decisions within district policy, law, or existing practice; and advises the chancellor and the Board on fiscal matters.
“You have a chancellor, and you have three vice chancellors: vice chancellor of Business Services, vice chancellor of Technology Services, and vice chancellor of Human Services,” De Anza classified senator Al Guevara said.
Kevin McElroy will speak on June 9, first in the Hinson Campus Center at 8:30 a.m. and then at 10:30 a.m. in the District board room on the Foothill campus. He has been vice president for Administrative Services at Coastline Community College in Orange County’s Coast Community College District since 1989.
Jon Stephens will speak on June 10, also at 8:30 a.m. in the Campus Center and at 10:30 a.m. in the District board room. Stephens has been president of Business Services in the San Joaquin Delta Community College District in Stockton since June 2008, and also worked as vice president in the Lake Tahoe Community College District.
Jeanine Hawk will speak June 14, also at 8:30 a.m. in the Campus Center and at 10:30 a.m. in the District board room. Since 2009, Hawk has been vice chancellor of Administrative Services in the San Jose-Evergreen Community College district. She is a former vice president of De Anza.
