    Just bring it: NorCal Playoffs2003

With the playoffs right around the corner, sports editor Reza Kazempour takes a look at the key players who will be critical to De Anza’s postseason success

    The Ladies

    Amber Hall

    Story continues below advertisement

The 6’3″ Hall brings to the team her athletic ability and stronginterior defense. She blocked 31 shots in conference play, secondonly to Hamouie, who led the team with 43.

    Daynelle Parker

Parker is the only other scorer on the Lady Dons roster outsideof Web. She brings with her experience, shooting and speed, butmust perform better defensively in order for the teams’success.

    Muna Hamouie

With a clear overall understanding of the game, Hamouie is asteadying presence. She crashes the boards well and intimidates ondefense, but she needs to contribute more offensively.

    Lindsay Webb

If any player is going to shine for the Lady Dons in theplayoffs, it’s going to be Webb. The freshman led the team inscoring, averaging 14.2 points per game. She is the team’s bestshooter from three-point range, and she averages nearly fiveassists and rebounds per game.

    Alicia Ingram

After coming back from an ACL injury, Ingram has played well. She is a pass-first point guard who makes things happen with herquickness. But the 35 percent shooter needs to knock down someshots to put fear in opposing teams. Otherwise, she’ll strugglerunning the offense.

    The Men

    Keith Miyakakusu

He can shoot, he can drive, he can do it all. But can he performwell and take his team deep into the playoffs? With the recentquadricep injury, Miyakusu is still not 100 percent. The Dons needMiyakusu to sink most of his shots if the Dons want to make a runin the NorCal Playoffs.

    Santos Benitez

This guy is fast and handles the ball well, but what he needs todo is become the playmaker the Dons have been looking for. He hasmany options on offense, including his brother Prince. Santos willneed to get his team to execute the plays better in order towin.

    Dario Burns

Burns provides leadership, and a clear understanding of thegame, and is the go-to guy in the low post. Burns should dominatein the playoffs, just as he has done for De Anza throughout theregular season.

    Daniel Logan

Logan has been controlled and often double-teamed in the post, pressuring the Dons to make their three-point shots. If you get himopen and make plays available to him, he won’t miss. A greatshooter.

    Steven Butler

If he wants to show to the coaches that he can play as well asLogan and Burns, Butler needs to perform well in the playoffs whenhe is needed. He is not afraid to make plays in the clutch.
