The Oscars are right around the corner, so who’s going to go home a winner? Though there’s been a lot of outrage on who’s been nominated and who hasn’t, we still have to pick who’s going to win this season, so without further ado, here are my predictions for 2015 Academy Awards:
Best picture: “Selma” Christian Colson, Oprah Winfrey, Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner, or “Boyhood” Richard Linklater and Cathleen Sutherland
Best Actor in a Leading Role: Eddie Redmayne, “The Theory of Everything”
Best Actress in a Leading Role: Rosamund Pike, “Gone girl” or Julianne Moore, “Still Alice”
Best Actor in a Supporting Role: JK Simmons, “Whiplash”
Best Actress in a Supporting Role: Patricia Arquette, “Boyhood”
Best Director: Richard Linkater “Boyhood”
Cinematography: Emmanuel Lubezki “Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)”
Animated Feature Film: “Big Hero 6”
Foreign language film: “Ida”, Poland
