This race was Vandergriff’s second national event win in his initial season as a full-time Funny Car driver. Vandergriff stepped in for Shawn Reed for two races in 2025 following Reed’s crash at the Northwest Nationals, and worked as a reporter for the NHRA on FOX in 2024 and 2025.
