Free tax filing for De Anza College students will be provided every Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. until April 10.

Students can make appointments on the upper floor of the Campus Center in the lobby across from Dining Services.

The United Way Silicon Valley has partnered with the Internal Revenue Service to offer Volunteer Income Tax Assistance.

All volunteers are required to go through four week-long classes and certification testing

To qualify for free filing services for your 2013 Federal and State Income Tax Return,  you must have made $52,000 or less, including total household income for single filers or married couples filing jointly.

“It doesn’t make sense for someone to go to H&R Block when they qualify for this service for free,” said Gezche Graves, a program associate at United Way Silicon Valley since 2010.

Students interested in filing their tax returns with this orginazation should visit www.211scc.org/vita.htm for more information.
