TIPS TO KICK START YOUR METABOLISM

1. Don’t starve yourself
Most people think that by not eating, your body isn’t consuming any calories but that’s not true. By depriving your body of calories, the thyroid starts to slow down and compensate. Starving yourself puts your body in “survival mode” which slows your metabolism down so the little food you do consume won’t be burnt off as quickly.
2. Drink lots of water
You can’t function without it. By drinking more water (at least eight cups a day), you can wipe out the toxins in your body and keep your metabolism going.
3. Sleep
Sleep is extremely important; it is essential to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Being sleep deprived causes lazy behavior and crazy eating habits, so sleep!

4. Eat Spicy Food
Studies have shown that enhancing your meal with a little chili or peppers can speed up your metabolism.
5. Sweat Daily:
Exercise! It’s a no brainer. The more you exercise, the leaner your muscles are, and the more fit your body becomes. IT’s also the easiest way to boost metabolism and keep those pounds.
6. Avoid alcohol
It counteracts your metabolism and causes it to slow down.
7. Eat breakfast
Breakfast is essential to kick-starting your metabolism.  It’s like warming your car up before you drive to keep your car in good condition and for better performance.
8. Reduce your stress
It’s easier said than done but physical and emotional stress actually causes your body to slow down. Stress also causes excessive eating. Finding a better way to handle your daily life problems can keep you feeling healthier and fitter.
9. Drink green tea
Green tea is filled with anti-oxidants that can boost your metabolism.
10. Turn down the heat
By keep your home a little chillier, not putting yourself at risk for hypothermia, your body will use up extra calories just to keep warm.
