DASB Gives Back: New bookstore program

Faculty members have teamed up with the DASB senate to create a bookstore incentive program, “DASB Gives Back.”

De Anza Bookstore Director Kelly Swanson went into detail about how the program works. “The program offers students 5  percent off new books and 10 percent off used books the week before the first week of the new quarter,” she said.

The dates are extended for veterans and students in the EOPS Program. In addition, any student who spends $100 or more on books receives a $10 off coupon  for any De Anza sweater or back pack.

Swanson said that the bookstore, DASB, and faculty members are looking to expand and advertise the program more. For this quarter, many students were unaware of the program and the dates and were unable to participate.

Swanson said this is the first of many efforts to come by faculty members as well as the DASB to make books more affordable for students.
