How do you feel about the transfer process?

Charlene De La Cruz, Interaction Design, 19 ,Applying to Art Center, College of Design , “Overwhelming! But it’s always good to keep my options open, even though my major is only offered in a few art schools.I realized most people are applying to UCs and CSUs so for students are transferring to art or private schools, we’re on a different schedule with a different set of guidelines. For instance, the art school I am applying to requires two essays, a video, and portfolio.”

Cienna Ajir, Animal Biology or Communications minor in Theater, 18 , Applying to CSU Humboldt and UC Santa Barbara, “I am so glad days like this are hosted by De Anza. For instance, I just learned CSU Humboldt has a great sustainability program in nature. The more I learn about my options, the more I have a clearer vision on where I want to apply.”

Isabel Fulton, 17, Criminal Justice, Applying to SDSU,  “There are a lot of options! I have a few more schools in mind now and they are all definitely not in the Bay Area! Today made me feel more comfortable and familiar with the transfer process but also a bit overwhelming.”

 “It’s scary. The competitiveness of it all can be intimidating.”

 

Liz Alexeyev, 20, Psychology, applying to a few CSUs, USc, specifically eying on UC Santa Barbara and San Francisco State. Of course, like many, I feel nervous and stress about the work load and change but overall it’s a positive process and I am looking forward to the future!

Maria Zimmermann, Business Adminstration, 20 ,Applying to anywhere she get receive a scholarship for Tennis. “Yea, definitely! All of the information makes me feel anxious but I am happy De Anza hosted an event like this!”

Nick Bauersfeld, 21, Communications or Sports Journalism, Applying to ASU “I feel like I received more of a direction of my pursuits and it’s very helpful.”

Ying He, 20, Nursing ,Applying to East Bay and other CSUs, “Difficult, there’s so much to worry about! But as long as I am confident, everything will work out.”
