    Why I love Macs

It’s almost impossible to miss Apple’s cleaver way of advertising. With it’s unbelievable product buzz, colorful silhouette dancers and enticing “Mac guy” Apple marketing should be put on a pedestal. But to every great advertisement lies great products waiting to be discovered by non-Mac users. Every college student is different but many students are able reach common ground in some aspects such as school, work, extracurricular and a personal life. To all students that juggle all of these things the Mac is Apples gift to you.Straight out of the box, the Mac is equipped to organize your whole life. With a color coordinated calendar and desktop sticky notes you’ll always be reminded of appointments, upcoming test and due homework. Aside from education and work the human desire to self-express is far from hindered to an artist on a Mac. With Apple Creative Solutions users are able to use their precious time wisely due to the ease of learning and actually using it. The definite plus side for creative majors on Macs is that they get a heads up on their professions considering Macs are what the professionals use. Lugging your laptop is hardly a problem when it comes to a Mac. The sleek design and super lightweight allows anyone to discreetly stow it away in a bag or backpack without wearing out a limb. One factor that may turn away some people is the price of the product. Why buy a Mac when a PC is half the price? The reason is simply. Consider what the PC has to offer. Trials are nice but after the 30-days of “getting your feet wet” its gone forever unless you want to pay an few extra hard earned cash to buy the actual versions. When buying a Mac what you get is a number of useful software that you won’t have to purchase at an extra cost. Customers will ultimately pay the same price after buying all their necessary products. Also, keep in mind that when buying a PC at a low price, expect it to fail on you a year later. That’s because what the cheap PC has to offer is the bare minimum of what computers can give you. Consider the cheap PC’s as disposable computer, you can use it for a couple of year but be ready to throw it out when your memory is low, and it’s running at the speed of a turtle. Another threat that is plaquing the computer world is the millions of viruses on the information super highway. Some may argue that the number one reason why Macs have much fewer viruses is due to the smaller market share. While this may have some truth to it the Mac is built to protect, and is doing it’s job by being virtually virus free, compare that to the number of viruses a PC can have. After reading my arguments you may agree with me or think I’m just like any other annoying Mac loyalist but the truth of the matter is: we’re loyal for a reason. We may be fighting a lost cause considering Macs are only used by a few of the shared market but we stand by our computers. Mac’s are more than tools for homework, they become a way of life.
