    RE: Code Veronica

If you have a weak heart problem, or suffer from when you get scared, then you should stay away from this game, as far away as possible.

But if you are looking for a game that will give you some good old gruesome violence with a scary story that will keep you at the edge of your seat, then look no further, you have found Resident Evil, Code Veronica

Made for the Dreamcast, this sequel to the Resident Evil series has got to be one of the best games ever, if not the best.

Capcom uses the power of the Dreamcast to its fullest extent. Graphically this game is dazzling. The little movies found throughout the game make you forget that itís a game, rather you think that you are watching some animation movie.

    Story continues below advertisement

The sound quality of this game is also another one of its great features, from the moaning of distant zombies, to dogs barking and the buzzing of poisonous flies, its as realistic as it gets.

One of my favorite parts to this game is whenever the character is about to encounter a dramatic scene or a big battle.

The game slows down and the camera zooms in on the handles of the door that you are about to go through, while you hear your heart beat faster and faster as you slowly open the door, while looking in at nothing but pitch black.

Little touches like these just add to the suspense of the game. The fact that you can get scared and excited as to what may be behind that next door.

The story has always be an integral part of the Resident Evil series.

Code veronica was not an exception. The story continues where Resident Evil 2 ends, where you control the character Claire Redfield, a regular college girl who is in search for her brother.

You are stranded on an island that is controlled by the evil crime organization, Umbrella and must find your way off the island and get help.

Yet all you find are dead zombies who try to suck your blood at the first chance they get, plus even deadlier creatures. Being the witty college girl that Claire is, she decides to arm herself and fight her way through.

Throughout the game you get to use all sorts of weapons from knifes to bow guns to the more advanced semi-automatic weapons.

This could make one wonder what college did Claire learned all this from? Just like any other Adventure RPG game, you have to solve certain puzzles in order to advance in the game.

If you want to enjoy this game to its fullest, using a vibrational jump pack with it is a must. You will be caught in this make believe world as you hear your heart beat faster and faster, you can feel the hair on your arms standing and your palms getting sweatier and sweatier. To make it simple this game is scary! I had a 28 year old male friend who was afraid to play it, honest.

The game takes about 20 hours to conquer, and I guarantee that youíll love every minute of it, can you handle it?
