    Dismal baseball season ends

A lackluster season ended much like earlier games in the season, an outlandish 20-3 loss.

Constant pitching changes, inconsistent hitting and poor defense stole wins away from the Dons.

At times, the Dons played like champions. The Dons infielders turned multiple double plays. Dons batters mustered many rallies also, often bringing in five runs in a row. However, the Dons dwindled late in the games, allowing as many as 5-20 runs in the final innings.

“Well, I can’t remember the season because we buried the schedule on the baseball field. I really can’t remember shit,” said baseball player Art Alegria when asked about the poor season.

In their last game of the year against divisional foe San Mateo, they charged to a 3-2 lead after five innings. A prototypical performance, Coach Scott Hertler removed starting pitcher Art Wellersdick, and went through several pitchers, eventually losing the game 20-3.
