On April 24, the Inter Club Council kicked off its annual spring food drive. All proceeds will go to the De Anza child development center and the Cupertino community center.
People are asked to donate non-perishable food items to selected collection boxes.
Collection boxes are located in the Student Activities office, Administration Building lobby, Advanced Technology Center lobby, and the Learning Center.
La Donna Yumori-Kaku, student activities specialist, originally organized the food drive twenty years ago. She then passed the drive over to the ICC.
De Anza food drives are held two times a year. The first food drive takes place in the fall around Thanksgiving; the second food drive is in the spring.
As an incentive for the clubs, whichever one brings in the most food will receive $100 to put toward their club.
The drive officially ended last Friday, however donations will be accepted throughout this week until Saturday, May 13.
