Dear Editor,
About your article comparing the prices of the De Anza bookstore with Varsitybooks.com: I work in the bookstore, so when Varsitybooks was flyering the campus with a list of courses and section numbers with the books required for those classes I had the opportunity to check the accuracy of their claims.
I found that more than half of the books listed on their flyer had the incorrect ISBN, which means that they’re selling students the wrong editions of the books, and one of the books listed was, in fact, just the wrong book outright. They didn’t even have the correct price for the book we are using for that class.
Buying books online may look easier and seem less expensive, but check the facts and you’ll see that the campus bookstore is where it’s at.
