De Anza College students gathered at the Transfer center to meet with admissions representatives from UC Berkeley on April 14. The representatives gave advice and guidance to students to help them meet the requirements for transferring to Berkeley in their chosen major.
Although the wait was long, students said it was worth the wait. “Yeah, the wait here is long but at least I won’t have to wait an extra year to transfer,” said one.
Besides scheduling and class counseling, the representatives answered questions about the Berkeley campus and the admissions and transfer process.
“The reps really helped me get my priorities straight and now I know exactly what classes I need to transfer out in my second year,” computer engineering transfer hopeful Michael Luong said.
The UC Berkeley representative visit is one of a several visits by university representatives that will occur over spring quarter.
Other universities that will participate include San Jose State University, San Francisco State University, UC Davis, UC Santa Cruz and UC San Diego.
