The City Fish Review
February 18, 2016
Clam chowder, fresh oysters and piping hot fish and chips: all the seafood lovers out there, a new restaurant is in town. The City Fish will give anyone more than their money is worth.
Located five minutes away from De Anza College, The City Fish is a new branch of the original restaurant in San Jose.
The place looks humble, but its four-page menu gives a customer a wide selection of fresh food.
After a 10-minute wait, I was greeted by the fragrant aroma of fried batter. I got two pieces of golden-brown fish sitting on top of shiny potato chunks beside a bowl of creamy white chowder. This special combo is only $8.99.
The taste of the dish went beyond my expectations: the fish was flaky, fresh and complemented by well-seasoned crust.
If switching between the delicious fish and the crispy fries is not good enough, the creamy soup with generous chunks of clam will definitely make this meal a divine experience.
De Anza students and faculty members get a 15-percent discount.
The place also offers happy hour deals from 3 to 6 p.m.
Next time when you crave for a satisfying meal for an affordable price, The City Fish is the place to go.
