We can clone it for you wholesale

With the introduction of animal cloning into society, it won’t be long before scientists are successful in cloning a human being. There have been growing concerns surrounding the morality and ethics of such a practice, and this is holding back the advancement of the technology.

First off, to say that cloning animals is the equivalent to playing God is completely illogical. Human life is created as a result of two people engaging in sexual intercourse with the intent of producing a child … that, or the condom broke. As a result, a child born naturally can either be seen as a blessing or Exhibit A in the lawsuit against the condom manufacturer.

One must first look at the benefits that cloning may offer to civilization before making any objection. To deny humanity such a technological advancement would be like opposing research into a cure for cancer. It is always important to explore what new technologies might be able to offer us.

Human cloning might present a cure for cancer or any other disease that modern medicine cannot solve. But why stop with cures when cloning could be used to improve the human body? No longer would lazy people have to shoot up steroids, so long as parents had their children’s DNA modified.

Society could use cloning to create an army of specially made servants to do dirty work for us. Imagine having a clone servant that has been genetically programmed to fix cars, cook gourmet food, perform spotless cleaning services and even plumb your pipes.

With human cloning and further advancements in genetics technology, any household could have the best protection available without owning a weapon. Why buy a gun when you could have your own cloned killing machine? With that as your protection, it’s guaranteed that any threat will be taken care of silently and without the mess that comes with using a gun.

It should also be considered how this technology might be used to benefit the military. No longer would young people have to fight and die in war when the military could simply utilize its army of cloned super soldiers. It might also be possible to alter their thought processes so as all they know how to do is kill without question.

Best of all, one could only imagine how much the entertainment industry could benefit from human cloning. Why risk stuntmen in movies when you could just blow up or kill off a clone of the actor? Imagine how much more violent Peter Weller’s death scene in “RoboCop” would have been with a clone rather than computer graphics and special effects.

The benefits of cloning for entertainment could expand beyond the realm of cinema and into the sports industry. After waiting for centuries, we could finally enjoy death fights between gladiators like the Romans once did. Just think: teams of clones in a live battle to the death inside a huge stadium and in front of a live audience! Or perhaps on a smaller scale, people could start hosting cockfights in their basements using hybrid human-rooster clones.

These suggestions are only a small sample of what human cloning might offer society. The true dream will never fully be realized until scientists are able to actually clone a human being. It is wrong to allow superstition and doubt to stand in the way of our civilization progressing.
