Letter to the editor: People’s political power

James Naung

Thank you for the coverage of the news on the presidential election.

Even though the election is now over, there is still the sense of chaos in the atmosphere. People are still protesting in cities across the United States and the case of electing Donald Trump as president has not been settled.

The nation seems to be more divided than ever. The American people are stressed and worried about the outcomes from the plans that Donald Trump impose.

In my opinion, I don’t think the president has more power than the people.

If Donald Trump was to do something, the American people could protest against it and say “No!”. The American people have to understand that they have the more power to change than the elected candidate.
