Dia de los Muertos celebrated at De Anza

The Latino/a at De Anza promotes Dia de Los Muertos with its own traditional style altar decorated with candles and calavera, representations of the human skull. Upper right: One LEAD altar is dedicated to Tamir Rice, a 12-year-old boy who lost his life to miscommunication amongst police.
Lower right: A pomeranian is celebrated with dog treats and cute emojis.
Students feature their commemorations of family and friends who have passed at De Anza’s Casa Azul, or the Blue House, to help them along their loved one’s’ spiritual journey.
