If there’s one thing the Bay Area is good at, it is its subcultures. Different types of music mixed with varying kinds of artwork and food has created an exciting atmosphere in downtown San Jose.

The two-night SubZERO music and art festival took place on a whole block of South 1st Street in downtown San Jose, on Friday and Saturday, June 5-6, from 6 p.m. to midnight.

The festival offered a place for local bands to share their passion for music on three different stages. Friends hung out, listened to different types of music, enjoyed food trucks and viewed some works of art exhibited at booths that lined the streets.
